It's autumn and the weather is grey and cloudy and everyone's looking a little bit gloomy. So I say, it's definitely time to pop them colours! Oh aren't s they so delightful and eye catching. We are totally getting lots of attention as we brighten up Sweden.
It's interesting to note how many conversations have been prompted by our MARIDADI pieces as people are intrigued by their uniqueness. The best part is when you see the clothes put a smile on someone's gloomy face; priceless! It's the power of colour!
In different cultures and beliefs, colour has significant and symbolic meanings.
In the bible each colour was thoughtfully used to convey a message. God used a rainbow after the great flood, which Noah saw, as a promise that He would never again destroy all mankind by using floodwaters.
In Japan, red and white are prominent traditional colors which represent happiness and joy. People wear these colors at important ceremonies such as weddings, birthdays and other life events.
In The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s famous novel, color symbolism was highly represented. For example, at the end of the novel, green color symbolism is used to depict the limitless promises of an unachievable dream which the main character, Gatsby, pursues until the very end.
Well, one thing's for sure, bright colours affect people positively, bringing excitement, joy, hope, peace and lots of love! It's no wonder the primary colours are all bright and telling; yellow, red and blue! So, yes, let's pop them colours!!!
